Your University Checklist

So you’re off to university and you have no idea what to bring…well don’t worry, lucky for you Yroo‘s got you covered! We did all the research for you by creating “The University Checklist” which details what you should bring so that you can focus on the fun times ahead.

Keep in mind that some of these things may need to be tweaked based on your personal needs.

The University Checklist

Important Documents

Passport, driver’s license, university acceptance letter, course acceptance letter, accommodation information and bank info. Other crucial documents can stay with your parents as you aren’t exactly moving to the moon!

Electronics

Laptop, chargers, cellphone, headphones, extension cords, printer with ink, USB and potentially some speakers.

Academic Resources

Binders, dividers, folders, printer paper, pens, highlighters (you will want lots), sticky notes, calculator, stapler and an agenda. You might also want to purchase a comfortable office chair as you will end up doing a lot of reading and studying!

Kitchen Essentials

We based this list on what you would need if you were on a university meal plan as we all know that late night cravings need to be satisfied. You should be looking to get a kettle, one bowl and one plate, some cutlery, coffee machine, tea towels, dish liquid, and maybe even a microwave if you’re ambitious.

Bedroom Essentials

Sheets, duvet and pillows, mattress protector, alarm clock, coat hangers, laundry basket, ear plugs, desk lamp and clothes.

Bathroom Essentials

Shower caddy, towel, shower supplies, shower shoes (trust us) and a first aid kit.

Miscellaneous

Sturdy backpack, playing cards, flashlight, blowdryer and straightener and perhaps a bike!
